Portugal was one of the EU countries that adopted the Kyoto Protocol, committing itself to reduce its emissions of Greenhouse Gases, which include fluorinated gases.

To avoid the intentional or accidental release into the atmosphere of these greenhouse gases, as well as to guarantee their correct handling, Regulation (EU) No. 517/2014 establishes specific rules on the containment, use and destruction of fluorinated gases. And it also imposes conditions on the placing on the market of specific products and equipment that contain, or whose operation depends on, fluorinated greenhouse gases.

In this field, AQUAFER is certified for the Installation, Repair, Maintenance or Technical Assistance and Dismantling Services for Fixed Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Fixed Heat Pumps that contain fluorinated greenhouse gases in accordance with the regulation ( EU) No. 517/2014 and the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2067.
